Style tip? Harem Pants - you either love them, or you hate them. Hardly do we see a fashion trend that’s so polarizing, perhaps because it’s almost anti-fashion. You don’t wear harem pants for figure flattery, or because they’re pretty. You wear them to make a fashion statement. If you dare to make that style statement, we recommend pairing your voluminous harem pants with something more streamlined (or at least drapey, to reduce the volume) up top.

Style tip? No matter what the season, white is the color of purity, of freshness, of newness. And it’s completely invigorating during the winter, a season traditionally filled with dark, heavy overcoats. Give a nod to the freshly fallen snow and echo its color in your wardrobe. For those of us prone to spills and smudges, try winter white in an easy-to-clean fabric, like a basic cotton. Or get the look of winter white via accessories - like a white handbag or scarf. For those of you who want to immerse yourselves in winter white, try a monochromatic white look from head to toe. We asked: Would you wear Over the Knee Boots?
You said: No to Over the Knee Boots, with a 63% to 37% vote.
Style tip? One of Anne Hathaway’s most iconic looks from The Devil Wears Prada has her leaning against a car in fabulous Chanel over the knee boots. While we don’t all have Anne’s long, lean legs, we can still get the look with a pair of tall black boots and a pair of black tights (which together visually slim the legs). Over the Knee boots create the most dramatic look, but because they’re so risque, they’re still somewhat on the fashion fringe. For the rest of us, try knee-length boots and leg lengthening leggings or tights.

If there’s an "It" pattern this season, it has to be Plaid. And what better fabric than plaid to dominate the runways and storefront windows? The fresh, unstuffy feeling of plaid crosses boundaries - of both class and occasion. You don’t need to confine plaid to the weekend, or to being paired with jeans and sneakers. Style tip? Sure, the idea of a short sleeved coat may sound a bit unintuitive (after all, isn’t the purpose of a coat to keep you warm?), but short sleeved coats serve their practical purpose. For a creative layering concept, try a short sleeved coat over a thick knit sweater, topped off with a textured scarf. Works wonders with a short sleeve jacket, but not nearly as well with a coat with full length sleeves, which would both look and feel like too much bulk.

Style tip? Sure, Ponchos were hot in the early 2000s, and they’ve been regarded as fashion castoffs since.
