Guys, you may not like to admit it, but you can look great in purple. If you’re open to the idea of purple - but not yet comfortable going full-on with a purple dress shirt - why not try it on with a skinny tie?

Globetrotting vacations. Trips to the beach. Summer BBQs. What do these summer standards have in common? You can have it all–both style and comfort–when you wear your Havaianas flip flops.
Havaianas makes womens flip flops–and also styles for men and kids. Their comfortable rubber soles with their signature rice grain texture makes them the flip flop of choice. Add their wide variety of colors and prints (like this fun skull flip flop), and it’s no wonder why they’ve gained worldwide popularity among the fashion crowd–and beyond.
$28 at Havaianas.

It’s the details that make this shoe. The stitches in the leather actually give the shoe texture, and the plaid near the ankle is kind of like the lining of a jacket: it’s a cool detail that only you will know about (your pants will cover the plaid). Understated details like these are the dreams of true Sartorialists everywhere.

A classic done well, this tie looks especially great with a button down collar. Of course, you could follow Mr. Agnelli’s lead and dress it up with a medium grey wool suit.
For those of you lucky enough to live in New York, do pay a visit to J. Crew’s first menswear store, opening this month in Tribeca (235 West Broadway at White Street).

Sartorialists, relax; your hanger problems have been solved. The Hanger Project is a company that specializes in making high quality jacket, shirt, skirt, and pants hangers. The small company was the brainchild of a forum member on the excellent AskAndyAboutClothes.com.
Often, people spend a lot of time on tailoring fine garments but overlook a key aspect to clothes maintenance: the clothes hanger. Other times, people will be conscious of having proper hangers, but cannot find good ones.
All the hangers are great, but especially fantastic are the jacket hangers, which provide the most shoulder support of any hanger I’ve seen, including those at upscale department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks or Bergdorf Goodman (although the Bergdorf ones are great too). The shoulder is the one area even the best tailor in the world won’t touch; these hangers will ensure that the shape of your jackets stay as they were made. East Coasters, make sure to get the suit hangers for your fine wool overcoats.
