Not only is this necklace gorgeous, but it also has a cool back story: it was originally designed for Cindy Crawford, who wore it at the 10th Anniversary of MTV’s House of Style.
Jersey, the designer, began making jewelry while working as a fashion stylist. He couldn’t find what he wanted for shoots, so he started making jewelry with a glue gun. Models and crew kept asking to buy things, and he would have to decline, since the pieces he was making had no structural integrity. Jersey has since learned how to make jewelry the right way (e.g. away with the glue gun), and recently launched his collection at DigitalAttire.com. Each piece is designed and hand-made by Jersey in New York!
Jersey recommends pairing the "Cindy" with off-the-shoulder, boatneck and asymmetric tops and dresses.
$138 at Digital Attire.

A unique looking necklace that falls in line with the Green trend (oh how we Love Green) and, in a way, the chunky necklace trend. Maybe this is the wave of the future?
Sterling Silver chain with glass beads.

How did Future Relic come up with the design?
Designer Paul Kim says, "We always had a military tongue in cheek approach to our men’s tees, and a lot of women had been asking us to do some womens articles of clothing. Looking through a history book, I came upon photos from the Civil War that looked rather dapper. After some consultation with a designer, we came up with the jacket and then decided to print a decorative font on the sleeve with our brand name to give it a little more embellishment."
If you like it, buy it now! The jacket was made in a Limited Edition of 24. Paul’s advice: pair it with a simple tank, or a gypsy-style top!
$120 at Future Relic.

I can’t quite pinpoint why, but I have completely fallen in love with this dress. Is it the tortoiseshell chain-link halter strap? The gathered tulip skirt? The rich, burnt-orange jacquard?
I must have this dress. I must have this dress. I must have this dress. Perhaps if I chant my wish enough times, then someone will grant it…
$280 at Neiman Marcus.

Omiru had the pleasure of discovering Jane Watson’s beautifully handpainted pillows at a fashion event earlier this month. The front and back of each dupioni silk pillow are handpainted for a truly one-of-a-kind creation. Jane’s collections span the botanical, geometric, and whimsical–there’s a pillow for (almost) everybody!
Of her inspiration, Jane says, "The inspiration for my designs comes from my vast collection of vintage and contemporary fabrics, papers, books, post cards and photos. I also love to look through textile books featuring designs from the early 1900s to see how I might be able to put a contemporary twist on a particular motif."
$65-80 (size dependent) at Jane Watson. To order, email Jane at info at janewatsondesigns dot com or call 415.794.9855.
