Rumor has it that this paisley print was discovered on a dress in a thrift store by the J Crew design team. We’re simply delighted by it - so bright and vibrant. Cotton short features a 3" inseam.

Who says you can’t pair prints with prints? The trick is to choose patterns that work together instead of against one another. Choose a theme - a color, a motif, or a repeat size - and carry it through the prints in the look. Here’s how to get the look:
1. Start with an eye-catching blouse in a multi-color vibrant print. We love the abstract imagery on this silk blouse.
2. You could pair the blouse with a bottom in a color that features prominently in the multi-colored top - but it’s more fun to opt for a color that plays off of the top. To complement the reds, blues, and purples in the blouse, we chose a green skirt. It really makes the reds in the top pop.
3. Make a statement with your accessories. Continue to play with print with a flowery handbag (notice the purple that picks up on the purple in the blouse) and a skull print scarf.
4. Finish off the look with a pair of chunky heels. Notice the purple platform that echoes the purple in the blouse.

Elegance isn’t just for eveningwear. We love the look of a long dress during the daytime - and with a high low hemline, the full-length dress is easier than ever to wear, even when it’s in a neon bright color. Here’s how to get the look that will take you from day to evening:
1. Start with your high-low neon dress, the centerpiece of your look.
2. For daytime, temper the neon bright with a neutral: a peachy pink biker jacket that adds a bit of a (girly) edge. You can remove the jacket for cocktail hour and beyond.
3. Finish off the look with a pair of sunglasses, some minty green heels (feel free to switch them for flats during the daytime), and a playful clutch.

We’re not girly girls, but we admit that we’re crushing on the color pink. Pink is warm, it’s fun, and it can carry a look. Hint #1: Darker shades of pink feel less frou-frou. Hint #2: If you mix different shades of pink, it doesn’t feel too matchy matchy. Here’s how to get the look:
1. Start with your two pink pieces: a peachy pink biker jacket, and a reddish pink pair of short shorts.
2. Pair these pinks with a flowery top to accentuate the femininity of the pink pieces.
3. What goes with pink? A pair of bright red sunglasses, which add a pop of cool to the look.
4. Finish off the look with neutral accessories in warm shades: a pair of brown sandals and a tan barrel handbag.

Even if you can’t afford to splurge on a quilted Chanel bag, you can still carry one…or at least a picture of one. We’re digging these trompe l’oeil tote bags by cheeky new label Thursday Friday. One part luxury, one part humor - and 100% stylish.
$85.24 (sale, originally $121.77) at ASOS.

Earn your fashion stripes this season by wearing stripes. They need not be basic - it’s all about what you pair them with. We love pairing stripes with bright colors and fun textures for a look that’s truly vibrant. See why we’re smitten by stripes?
1. Start with a horizontal striped top. We chose a classic black and white sleeveless style. Notice the thin stripes, which tend to be more flattering than thick stripes.
2. Contrast the black and white stripes with a brightly colored skirt. The springy green skirt gives life to the stripes.
3. Add a touch of texture to the look, which is so heavy on pattern. The ostrich feathers lining the bottom of the white blazer give the look an ethereal feel.
4. Add more stripes with a chevron striped clutch in a eye-popping yellow color.
5. Finish off the look with a pair of old school Hollywood oversized sunglasses and a pair of black and brown wedge heels.

One of our very favorite things to do in Paris was to shop the street markets. You could find everything you could ever want at the market - from fresh fruits & vegetables at the produce market to vintage trinkets and furniture at the flea market. People watching at the market was a sport in and of itself - so it was de rigeur to dress appropriately. For an afternoon shopping the market, the key was comfortable chic - easy silhouettes and shoes that wouldn’t kill your feet. Here’s how to get the look:
1. Start with a blouse that makes a statement - a colorful, abstract print blouse that sets the cheerful tone for the entire look.
2. Slip on a maxi skirt for a look that’s effortlessly chic.
3. Grab an oversized tote (don’t you love the classic mini-stripe?) and shoes that you can walk in (the wedge heel makes these heels more comfortable).
4. Add your final flourishes - a pair of oversized sunglasses and a breezy scarf. Tie the scarf to your tote when you walk out of the house; if it gets too windy, you can always use it to tie your hair back.

Aztec prints never looked so dreamy. Between the fabulous mix of warm and cool colors on this print and the gauzy texture of the shirt, this Aztec inspired shell is perfectly on point for the season. PS: This top is rather see-through - you’ll want to layer a tank top underneath.

Some of this season’s prints & patterns, like this wholesome apple print from J Crew, can feel over the top in their sugary sweetness. To these wholesome prints, we love adding pieces that feel tough to achieve our signature mix of sweetness and edge. Here’s how to get the look:
1. Start with a wholesome foundation - a bright orange shell paired with a pleated apple print skirt.
2. Toss on a moto jacket (in a pastel peach, for a softer look) and a pair of spiked flats to add a bit of an edge to this girly look.
3. Finish off the look with polished accessories: a speckled pair of sunglasses and a structured top handle handbag in a classic shape.
