(Faux) Shearling Lined Parka

Look beyond color and texture and create a look based on silhouette. We’re loving the dramatic oversized look of this faux shearling lined parka, which can serve as the star of your silhouette based look. If you live in a temperate climate, you can pair it with shorts, as seen on the model. But for colder climates, we’d recommend switching out the shorts for a close fitting pant or pair of leggings to maintain that gorgeous big-over-small silhouette.

My first thought on seeing this was, “Oooh… pretty!” It seems to me that most basic utilitarian coats have hoods, but I don’t think enough pretty and practical coats have them. More hoods, please!

Trisha– one of the things I liked was that it gave me ideas about how to wear pieces that are already in my closet in different ways…if that makes any sense. Also that it put the trends into a context and often put a different spin on them…I guess I’m just trying to say that I got more inspiration from those kinds of posts, if that helps any.

Looking gorgeous and trendy in the first picture on the left side but the positioning of legs in the second picture is awful to say the least.
