Style tip? Though shorts are traditionally summer fare, they’re inching their way into autumn wardrobes with the addition of another key piece for fall - textured tights.  As summer waned, we noticed an uptick in the  pairing of shorts and denim cutoffs.  But as we descend deeper into the autumn season, we’re advocating more seasonally appropriate fabrics for the shorts and tights combo.  We’re digging a flannel short (belted, boyfriend style, of course) with a textured tight.  Ribbed styles in dark colors tend to be flattering on those of us not blessed with lanky model legs.  For footwear, try a brogue bootie in the same color as the tights, an elegant way to visually elongate the leg.

Next question: Wherever we go, we’re seeing faux fur - on voluminous vests and jackets - and lining the hoods of army coats. But what do you think?  Tell us, would you wear faux fur?  Cast your vote on the sidebar!
