Fall 2010 Fashion Week Trend: Return of the 1970s
February 24th, 2010
Style tip? It may be 2010, but it felt like the year 1970 on the runways. Bohemian prints, maxi dresses, and flowing vests and sashes all graced the runways. How to get the look of the 1970s, but circa 2010? Make maxi dresses and bohemian dresses look modern with muted, more neutral colors. And accent your look with a bold lip color for a look that’s less au naturel and more modern sophisticate.
What do you think? How would you wear 1970s style today? Share your thoughts in the comments!

I’m a huge fan of floor-length skirts, so I’m delighted to hear about this trend!

Fortunately these dresses resemble 70s dresses in length of hem only.

i actually just bought a crochet tunic top and floral mini-dress in a muted pink color – both vintage from the 70s, so that’s how i’d wear 70s style today!

That Peter Som dress is beautiful and eminently more wearable than the other two.! The deep V neck makes it a little sexy while the sash belted waist makes it less night gowny and totally flattering to most body shapes.
