Six Stunning Cardigans Under $100
October 13th, 2009
The Cardigan - it’s a wardrobe foundation that’s supremely versatile, with the ability to change the entire look of an outfit. But the cardigan so often plays a supporting role in an outfit, whether it’s peeking out from under a statement jacket, complementing a well-chosen blouse, or adding a pop of texture to a look. Take the cardigan from supporting to stunning, with surprising colors and statement silhouettes. Here’s six stunning cardigans under $100:
Vero Moda Wide Envelope Wool Mix Sleeve | $63.83 at ASOS
Silence & Noise Dolman Sleeve Cardigan | $48 at Urban Outfitters
Merino Maya Cardigan | $88 at J Crew
Silence & Noise Cozy Open Cardigan | $48 at Urban Outfitters
Pintucked Cardigan | $24.90 at Heritage 1981

The J.Crew Maya Cardigan is my fave of these picks. My cardi taste tends to be more reserved, as I love to use them as a very basic top layer.

I love my round neck cardigans as opposed to the v-necks that proliferate among many of this season’s designs. I think they look stunning with low cut tops creating a silhouette similar to chanel jackets.

Hmm…stunning? I’ll be honest – this is not a word I would use for these. In fact I think most are rather unflattering and dowdy. Might as well go to the men’s section of the thrift store and buy an oversized lambswool granddad cardigan and save about $50.

Silence and Noise version is my favourite: the color!

Not a fan. Cardigans have no shape. They make skinny girls look sloppy and curvy girls look lumpy.

I love the orange silence and noise sweater. it looks so effortless and the color is too perfect for fall and dreary winter days.
