Spring 2010 Fashion Week Trend: Not So Boring Beige
September 14th, 2009
Style tip? Beige doesn’t have to be boring. You can get a chic monochromatic look by mixing different shades of beige, as seen at Luca Luca and Erin Fetherston. Finish off your beige look with a shoe in a nice pastel shade - or gold.
What do you think? How would you wear beige? Share your thoughts in the comments!

I really like the one at the right-hand side. I like the tailored jacket with the lacy shirt undereath. It is quite a nice silhouette – perfect for creating an hourglass shape if one lacks curves.

Wearing something as neutral as beige gives your permission to amp up the rest of your accessories, i.e. gold shoes and an unexpected hat. I think it also works here in luxe fabrics with interesting textures. I would avoid polyester on this one.

I’d wear nudes definitely with neons, but not as in “garments” that’s so last summer.
I’d wear nudes with neon nails and lips. That’s it!

I do neutrals with neons–neon belts, tights, accessories or layers. I’d even do a garment–who cares if it’s “last summer,” if it’s fun and looks good? That said, I’d probably not do a neon main peice, like a dress or pants, but definitely a tank under a shirt or even a neon bra strap for a little sneaky oomph.
