Take Your Summer Sundress and Ankle Boots from Summer to Fall
August 17th, 2009
You don’t have to stop pairing your ankle boots with summer sundresses when Fall breezes on in. Just toss on a light jacket and accessorize. In this Summer-to-Fall transition outfit, we’ve mixed hard with soft, casual with formal, rugged with sophisticated. Here’s how to get the summer sundress and ankle boots look this Fall:
1. Start with your basic summer sundress. We recommend a belt at the waistline to give it a bit more structure, depending on the dress.
2. Layer on a light jacket. We’ve mixed the floaty sundress wiht a structured tuxedo style jacket for a look that’s playful meets serious.
3. Finish off the look with a pair of ankle boots (note how that nice brown goes with the blue on the dress) and a handbag slung over your shoulder.
How would you mix your summer sundress and ankle boots into your Fall wardrobe? Share your style with us in the comments!

Hah! This actually serves as a great reminder to me to START pairing my ankle boots and sundresses. I’ve been so obsessed with showing off my pedicure that it’s been all about sandals for months.
Throwing a lightweight blazer into the mix for fall is brilliant, though. I’ll definitely be trying that out in the coming weeks.
