Mens Ready Made Outfit: How to Wear a Vest
Feeling the love for this set?  Here’s more information about it.

Guys, you don’t have to wear a three piece suit to wear a vest.  In fact, you can take a tailored vest and pair it with casual clothes to elevate an entire outfit.  Here’s how to "casualize" a tailored vest:

1. Start with a casual button down shirt and a pair of dark rinse jeans.
2.  Layer on the tailored vest.  Notice how keeping the vest in the same color palette as the shirt allows them to work together.
3.  Accessorize with a textured belt (if you’re wearing a vest, wear a belt) and a pair of stylish sneakers.
4.  Throw on a peacoat (or trenchcoat, if you prefer) to finish off the outfit.

Guys, how do you wear a vest?  Share your style with us in the comments!

You should not wear vests with a belt, especially if it came from a three-piece suit. Well-made and proper three-pieces do no have belt loops but instead buttons for braces. Belts would quickly wear out the lining on the vest.

My husband loves vests, but probably wouldn’t wear one casually.

If you’re wearing a vest with jeans – absolutely wear a belt since the waistline of the jeans will be visible. For a trational/formal affair ditch the belt since the waistline of the trowsers should not be showing and for the reasons stated above.

It is a cool idea. However, it itakes time to find a vest and shirt which would look good together. I leave it to personal taste folks.

This is the look I’m going for, however the question I have is: does the shirt need to be tucked in? I generally wear button-up shirts all the time but I don’t tuck them in. If I’m wearing a vest casually like this, should the shirt be tucked in? Does it depend on the shirt?
