Spring 2009 Fashion Week Trend: Booties
September 12th, 2008
Style tip? Booties are tough to wear, as they visually shorten your legs - so they’re best worn by women with long, lean legs. If you dare to wear booties, pair them with a short skirt or shorts to visually extend your legs as much as possible.
What do you think? Would you wear booties? Share your thoughts in the comments!

I want to get booties this year. I am eagerly awaiting for the latest poll to close, because then we’ll get suggestions of good ones to take a look at along with the results.

I have big calves. Should I wear booties instead of the knee high ones?
thanks!

Margz, try knee high boots with a generously cut calf for the longest, leanest look. Or, if you’d like to try booties, wear them with dark colored tights.
Hope that helps!

I just got a pair from Steve Madden in burgundy? Should I switch to black for a more versatile shoe? I go to a really laidback college so wearing 4.5 inch heels at all is a stretch.
