Trendscape: The Babydoll is Back!
May 11th, 2006
We are indeed referring to the same shapes you were sporting circa 1995. This time, though, the look isn’t just limited to dresses: Babydolls will be infiltrating everything in your closet from hoodies and jackets to tank tops. To pull this off without looking like you stepped out of the mid-nineties, keep the look to one piece only. Don’t be too literal–no canvas sneakers, bowties or stockings allowed. You don’t want to look like an overgrown Raggedy Ann.

sorry, but i am not a fan of the babydoll. i don’t need to add to the illusion that I’m trying to hide a pregnancy. empire waists though, i can live with.
