You Said: No to Maxi Dresses

We asked: Would you wear Maxi Dresses?
You said: No to Maxi Dresses, with a 57% to 43% vote.
Style tip? Sure, floor length Maxi Dresses are reminiscent of the 1970s, but they can still be relevant today. Here are a three ways to wear them:
(1) Maxi Dress + Cropped Sweater + Gladiator Sandals for a sweet-yet-edgy look.
(2) Maxi Dress + Drapey Necklaces + Metallic Espadrilles for a casual-yet-elegant look.
(3) Maxi Dress + Oversized Scarf + Strappy Sandals for an European-meets-bohemian look.
Next question: Chunky Necklaces dress up the plainest of outfits, and can add elegance (and a bit of an edge) to anything you wear. But they’re also a pretty strong statement. What do you think? Would you wear Chunky Necklaces? Cast your vote on the sidebar!

I really like maxi dresses but they are always just a tad too long for me. Do you know where i can find shorter maxi dresses? I could wear heels, but I don’t always want to do that.

I’m with the majority on maxi dresses – just too hard to pull off.
But I love nothing more than a chunky statement necklace!

Dee – I have the same problem with too-long dresses. I’ve found that shopping in the petites section of stores helps – and if the dresses are still too long, I end up getting them hemmed.
Sal – your brooch necklace is simply fabulous! I love that you made it yourself too

I like the idea of them, but can’t think of where I’d wear them. Floral print maxi dresses always seem like something to be worn on vacation in Hawaii.
And anyway, I have good legs- why cover them up?

Cheers to that, Mimi!
