Trendscape: Short Sleeved Button Up Shirt
January 4th, 2006
No longer the province of middle managers, the short sleeved button up shirt is back with a vengeance. This adorably nerdy shirt is riding off the geek chic trend that has permeated the runways for the past couple of seasons. Expect this shirt to stick around for at least a couple more.

Can I admit that I hate geek chic? That said, it is definitely the flavor of the month…

Addendum: I hate geek chic on men–because half of them are already geeks ANYWAY!

Hey I’m a geek. Geeks WILL RULE THE WORLD!
haha. Anyways, to make them truly geeky, you’d have to add a thin tie and tieclip. 1960’s nerd style.

Haha I actually really like geek chic…but then again, I have a soft spot for adorably nerdy men 😉

you also see a lot of this style in “Munich” with Eric Bana’s character…it sort of hit me as soon as I saw the second shirt on your list.

Good eyes! Haven’t yet seen the movie, but I’ll be looking for it. Thanks for the note, Shreyas!
