Shopping Guide: Gap Fall 2008
October 2nd, 2008
Gap’s Patrick Robinson brings us bright colors, sophisticated fabrics, and feminine details for Fall. Presenting our five favorite picks from Gap’s Fall 2008 collection:
Ruffle Bib Plaid Shirt | $48 at Gap
We’re loving the feminine ruffles on this pretty plaid shirt. Pair it with something structured for a chic Fall look.
Tweed Blazer | $98 at Gap
Tweed fabric makes your basic blazer a touch more sophisticated. Pair it with a feminine blouse for best effect.
Puffer Vest | $64 at Gap
It’s getting cold outside, but you don’t have to match the dreary weather. Brighten up your outfit - and your day - with this bright yellow puffer vest.
Jewel Toned Dress | $78 at Gap
The exaggerated dropped waistline on this jewel toned dress does wonders for shortwaisted women.
Striped Denim Sailor Skirt | $49.50 at Gap
This casually sleek pencil skirt gets a little something extra with nautical inspired buttons.

Having seen some negative comments about the new Patrick Robinson for Gap line — to the effect that it was “boring” — I was curious to check it out. I ended up buying three pieces. The quality and detailing are absolutely excellent for the price point and the coats and jackets are adorable. The skirt you’ve just featured is now on my list — what a winner! I would bet that if it were sold somewhere else for $180 some of these same writers would instead be talking about how on-trend it is! Thanks for a great post!

Thanks, Miss Moneypenny! I’m really loving Patrick Robinson’s GAP collection too. So what if it’s not runway-ready fashion – the collection is full of great, well made pieces that will work for Real people

Hi Trisha — Heck, I also LOVED the Patrick Robinson for Gap runway show for Spring-Summer 09. Check it out on style.com if you haven’t seen it yet. I’m super-excited about the silky pants.

I have to say, while I haven’t been a GAP fan for years…Patrick Robinson is really turning me around. Was in the SF store last weekend and bought a beautiful patterned top and a grey ruffle dress
