Capes and Capelets at Jeremy Laing, Y-3, and Tuleh.

Style tip?  Capes and Capelets add a posh, Euro chic touch to any outfit.  They’re a great layering piece and can add texture (as at Tuleh), a sleek sophistication (as at Jeremy Laing), and warmth (as at Y-3).  Capelets are lovely on petite women, while full length capes are better worn by taller women.

What do you think?  Would you wear a cape or capelet?  Share your thoughts in the comments!

I really can’t imagine myself wearing a cape or capelet. It doesn’t seem very practical and the superhero/vampire look is not what I’m after…

Am I overlooking the potencial of a good cape/capelet?

I have a hip length wool cape I absolutely love! I always get tons of compliments on it, and haven’t really seen anyone else wearing one… I highly recommend them. Sleeves are overrated. :o)

I bought me a cape from Burberry a few weeks ago. I love it and wear it every day in the moment. It is absoluty comfortable and keeps warm on the cold days. I like it most with my overknee-boots.

Wear a capelet on your way to the New Year party.
